The establishment of PT ACI marks another new significant milestone for Guan Chong Berhad to continue strengthen our foothold in cocoa industry. The new plant is Guan Chong second cocoa grinding facility where 100% owned by Guan Chong Group. It is located strategically at Batam, Indonesia Free Trade Area which was officially commissioned in July 2011.

PT ACI is well equipped with state of the art new machinery from Netherlands, Switzerland and Germany. The production line is set up in compliance with the international quality and food safety standard. At initial stage, the plant will manufacture, market and distribute cocoa cake and cocoa butter under highly recognized Guan Chong trade mark of “Favorich“. Subsequently, the cocoa powder plant will be upgraded to cater the increasing demand of cocoa powder.

Logistically, with excellent access to cocoa bean at zero tariff directly from Indonesia, the world top three cocoa producer, we are having absolute advantage in minimizing our cost and supplying cocoa product at a more competitive price without compromising on the quality.
